Privacy & GDPR

At Falandos AI we take your privacy seriously. Below we explain which data we collect, why, and what your rights are under the GDPR (in the Netherlands: AVG).

What data do we collect?

Only what's needed to work with you. During a discovery call or via email/WhatsApp that's usually your name, email, phone number and the business information you share yourself. While building an AI colleague we then record the processes, FAQ texts or integrations that are relevant — only what you actively provide.

How do we use data?

Data is used exclusively to build and maintain your bespoke AI colleague and to communicate with you about the engagement. We do not train AI models on your customer data. We do not sell data.

Legal basis

We process your personal data on the basis of contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For initial contact via discovery call, email or WhatsApp we rely on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — namely the ability to respond to your enquiry. For optional marketing communications we ask for prior consent.

Sharing with third parties

We don't share personal data with third parties without your consent. To run an AI colleague we use EU-hosted model providers that explicitly do not train on customer data. The specific provider is agreed up-front and listed in the contract.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses no tracking cookies. For anonymous visitor statistics we may use Vercel Analytics — a cookieless, privacy-friendly solution with no personal identification.

Your GDPR rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability of your personal data. Email us to exercise any of these rights; we respond within four weeks.

Retention

We don't keep data longer than necessary. Discovery-call notes that don't lead to an engagement are deleted within three months. For active customers, retention periods are agreed in the contract.

Automated decision-making

AI colleagues built by Falandos provide information, answer questions, and assist with workflows. Final decisions with legal effect — for example a binding quote, contract signing, or customer rejection — always remain with your business. Our AI colleagues are explicitly designed without fully autonomous decision-making in the sense of Article 22 GDPR.

Questions or complaints about how we handle your data? Contact us directly via the colophon. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
